A Pest-Free Life Is on the Horizon

Serving Our Community

Dear Clients,

It’s #BackToSchool time, and we know how much teachers invest in their students. We’d like to help. To mark our 51st year in business, Horizon Pest Control will reimburse 51 teachers for the supplies they buy as they head back to the classroom this September!

Here’s how you participate:

  • We will reimburse the first 51 teachers that bring a receipt to our offices for the school supplies they purchase for their classroom for up to $100 each.
  • Participants must present their New Jersey Education Association ID card.
  • Each participant can only seek reimbursement ONCE so that we can help as many teachers as possible.
  • This special promotion ends on 9/15/21.

NEXT STEPS: Email Kristin Fowler and Ari Rivera your phone number and a copy of your receipt and ID card. We will reply with details about how to receive your reimbursement. You can contact Kristin and Ari with any questions, too, at KFowler@horizonpestcontrol.com and arivera@horizonpestcontrol.com.

Feel free to share to spread the word.

Wishing everyone a great school year!

When the warmer temperatures of spring approach, flowers bloom, trees bud, and bugs – both the good ones and the bad – burst into action. Horizon Pest Control knows about all this firsthand, so we have developed a free interactive program for schools and companies called, “The Good, the Bad, and the BUGly: An Introduction to What Makes a Pest a Pest.”

The Good, The Bad, and The Bugly

One of Horizon Pest Control’s main goals is to share our knowledge and experience in the New Jersey pest control industry with students and adults alike. With “The Good, the Bad, and the BUGly,” we present basic information on the biology and behavior of various pests, including termites, ants, ladybugs, rodents, ticks, and bed bugs. Factual information is complimented with pictures, specimens, and videos of pests in action, as well as samples of damage that pests have done to local homes and properties. The program is designed for students in the first and second grades who are learning about nature and insects, though it can be adjusted for older individuals and professional settings as well. “The Good, the Bad, and the BUGly” runs about 30 minutes and can be tailored to the needs of any classroom. And to make things even better, we provide fun handouts for students to take home, too!

If you are a teacher or employer, and are interested in Horizon presenting “The Good, the Bad, and the BUGly” to your class or organization, please send us a message online, or call (201) 447-2530 to schedule a presentation now.
