Holst Jr. founded Horizon in Midland Park, New Jersey and laid the foundation for service excellence with the motto, “let our family take care of your family.” This simple concept is what truly sets Horizon Pest Control apart from its competition: we treat every home and every business as if it were our own.
Bernard N. Holst Jr. went on to become president of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) from 2006-2007. Founded in 1933, the NPMA currently is comprised of 6,000 national and international pest management company members. The organization provides technological training and reference tools for members on industry advancements, and is an established resource for education, awareness, and regulatory initiatives. On top of Bernie’s role in the NPMA, he was also named Pest Control Operator of the year in 1996 by the New Jersey Pest Management Association. It is this history as an industry authority and our reputation for outstanding customer service that has kept people coming back to Horizon Pest Control for five decades.
