Dear Valued Client,
Thank you for entrusting Horizon Pest Control for effective Mouse Treatments. Below is a comprehensive list of expectations and important information on what to expect following your service.
Treatment Methods Based on Infestation Level
Depending on the infestation level determined during our inspection, Horizon may employ one or both of the following treatment approaches:
Approach #1: For High Infestation Levels
- RODENT CONTROL DEVICES are strategically placed in areas with known or suspected activity. These devices may include glue boards, snap traps, and repeat-use mechanical traps.
- Regular inspections and maintenance are performed—TYPICALLY WEEKLY—until activity becomes manageable.
- Our goal is to capture and remove rodents quickly, reducing the risk of secondary pests such as flies and Dermestid beetles.
- Devices may be repositioned during follow-up visits based on ongoing findings.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Rodent treatments take time to work—30 TO 60 DAYS FOR LARGE POPULATIONS. Please DO NOT RETURN BELONGINGS to treated areas until your technician instructs you to do so. Doing so prematurely can INTERFERE WITH CONTROL EFFORTS and may pose safety risks.
Approach #2: For Moderate Infestation Levels
- For moderate activity, Horizon often employs a RODENTICIDE BAITING PROGRAM.
- Anticoagulant baits are used; mice typically perish 5–7 DAYS
AFTER FEEDING. - Because mice are nibblers, they will repeatedly return to feed over time.
- TAMPER-RESISTANT BAIT STATIONS are strategically placed in common areas of activity to minimize exposure risks.
- Devices may be relocated or strategically installed to take advantage of mouse behavior patterns.
Protection & Proactive Measures
All devices are selected and placed not only to eliminate active infestations but also to proactively protect the structure from ongoing or future rodent pressure.
Proper maintenance is key after the situation is resolved. It is best to maintain the bait stations to eliminate the potential for future infestations.
